I rarely if ever write a review on equipment because I understand that everyone has different specific needs, likes and dislikes. However, I wanted to write about a new piece of kit that I am now using and find incredibly useful.
I travel with clients a lot and I have found it difficult to find that one size fits all for my medical kit. I know there are standard IFAKS (individual first aid kits) however some are a bit bulky plus are filled with items you don’t necessarily need.
As mentioned, I travel a lot through the year with my clients and having a kit that could hold medical supplies for multiple people has been an elusive find until now. In my search for a bag that is small yet has plenty of room for critical medical supplies (tourniquets, pressure bandages, gauze etc.) I found the 5.11 2-Banger bag. This bag is set up as a EDC weapon (everyday carry) bag meaning it has plenty of spots for your weapon, magazines, 5.56 and pistol.
Instead of using it for my EDC weapon and ammo I have utilized it for all my travel medical supplies. This bag when filled easily fits into my carryon backpack leaving me plenty of space for other business or personal items. What I also like is that it has a shoulder strap that you can store away when not in use.
Here is a list of what I have been able to fit into this small, and compact bag. Your list of items might be different, this is just mine.
Multiple Pairs of Nitrile Gloves (Latex Free)
1 Emergency Scissors – TSA compliant for carryon luggage
4 Tourniquets (SWAT-T), CATS would fit the same
2 Rolls of Kerlex gauze - Package would be used for chest seal if needed
2 Packs of compressed gauze
2 Trauma Bandages, 64" – Package would be used for chest seal if needed
1 14-gauge needle for needle decompression
1 Small med kit with band aides, alcohol pads, Neosporin, aspirin
1 Nasopharyngeal

Attacks can happen anywhere at any time we need to be prepared which includes having proper medical tools available.
